Mobile banking today is not exactly what banks thought it would be when they set out to create something they thought their customers wanted. Initially many financial institutions thought customers would want to conduct transactions on the go, but soon found that the word "mobile" didn't necessarily mean that customers were moving - they just weren't sitting in front of their desktop or laptop computers.
This is just one of the revelations Citi's SVP of Mobile and Emerging Technologies Strategy Lead, Andres Wolberg-Stok, has come to over his years of studying mobile banking trends.
