“Skeptic Beliefs.” The title kinda sounds like an oxymoron, but when you consider the point of the show, it actually makes sense. Every week we will focus on something wonderfully weird. You might hear a show about the occult, UFO’s, dowsing, psychic healers, psychics, prophets, philosophies; anything out of the main stream thought of belief. It is not the purpose of the show to prove or disprove anything. “Skeptic Beliefs” is a platform where people can state what they believe and why. The listeners have the ability to make up their own minds whether or not something is genuine. Attacking a guest is something that is never allowed. They may be asked to offer some type of substantiation for their position, but they will never be intentionally humiliated or attacked. Tune in every Thursday at 7pm (Central Time) and check out “Skeptic Beliefs with W. B. Ward.”

What in the $#@% was I thinking?! Isn’t “Skeptic Beliefs” supposed to be a show dedicated to the weird and the paranormal? Why on earth would I knowingly invite a debunker on to my program?!?!?!
For those of you who have listened to this program from the start, you may recall that one of the very first things I addressed were my qualifications for hosting a show on the paranormal. In short my qualifications are - - - NOTHING!!!!!
I have no background in the paranormal, and at best, only an average level of intrigue. My interest extends to that of the average person who has shared his/her ghost stories, regaled each other with the “time I saw that UFO,” and maybe even among those who thought they may have seen Bigfoot.
In the case of my show, the word “skeptic” is used in the title only to reveal a quest for knowledge; not to prove or disprove anything. Every guest has been (and will be treated) with respect and will also be given a shadow of doubt; every person on my show who presents their viewpoints and will be taken seriously - - - even debunkers.
In fact allow me to go one step further: for those within the paranormal community who have already begun to criticize my choice of guests, get over it. If anything, those within the paranormal community who wish to be taken seriously should actually embrace the work of debunkers. Without fail, every guest who has so far been on my program (and I hold the utmost respect for every one of them) has complained of the activities of those who are out to defraud others. Last week’s guest, Psychic Kristy Robinette, even gave a list of things to look out for when trying to find a psychic.
Tomorrow’s guest is certainly no slouch. Joe Nickell is a regular writer for “The Skeptical Enquirer Science Magazine,” he has authored over 20 books (that’s more books than what many people read in a lifetime), and has appeared on more than a dozen national TV shows including “Larry King Live,” “Dateline NBC,” and “20/20.”
Tune in tomorrow at 6pm Eastern, 5pm Central, and catch this show – it will certainly be an hour I’ll never forget!!!
