In this episode I discuss children and anxiety with my special guest, Allie Ackland-Prpic. Anxiety is a prevalent concern in a number of children today, and Allie shares with us ways that parents can support their children to reduce anxiety, change their unhelpful beliefs, improve resilience and live happier lives. The next step we talk about is how parents can model positive mindsets for their children, and ultimately encourage their children to learn to love themselves.
Allie Ackland-Prpic is a registered psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist, who has had over 13 years experience working with children, youth and families. She also works in schools supporting teachers to bring mindfulness meditation and relaxation into their classroom. Allie runs a program called "Still Mind" and a program in schools called "Resilient Kids" to supports children to feel happier, more positive and able to deal with everyday stresses.
