Hi, I'm your Ways to Wellbeing radio host Miriam Henke, health psychologist and life coach, with a passion for integrative medicine and mind-body healing. Ways to Wellbeing is all about exploring ALL the different ways to wellbeing, health and happiness.

Today's episode I am joined by Arnaum Walkley, Parenting Counsellor ,to discuss how to keep stress down in the family, using play and intimacy. We talk about today's pace and how it affects children, as well as how being overprotective can restrict children in how they naturally explore life.

Learning how to destress and be calm with your children can make a big difference in our busy lives. Finding time for play, and balance in our modern world, are the keys to harmony in the home.

Arnaum has enjoyed supporting and nurturing parents and their families as a Parenting Counsellor for 25 years. She assists parents to develop their own individual, conscious parenting skills with confidence in their own unique style. Arnaum has a Diploma in Early Childhood Studies. Arnaum has supported Mother’s Group Meetings, and was a facilitator in Pre and Post Natal Education.

Arnaum acknowledges that every child is unique as they constantly remind us, therefore there is no ‘one’ way to parent and guide a child through their life. Arnaum assists parents in creating awareness and confidence in their parenting abilities. To feel at ease in making informed decisions that will lead to conscious parenting actions and new techniques relating to raising their family.
