BlogTalkRadio announced its new site launch on Monday, September 17. Complete with new features, the revamped site looks great and has a more professional media feel.
Hosts can add a blog feature to help listeners discover new and upcoming shows. Being able to create a blog based relationship with the listening audience is essential to building a first rate show. Listener feedback on shows will help the network hosts improve and enhance their on air product.Hosts can also highlight some classic podcasts from their archives. Very often, some of the best shows were missed in the live stream, and the ability to point listeners to some of the best of the past is a powerful feature. When we discover a show that we like, it's always useful to have someone guide us to the highlights of previous broadcasts. My own Blog Business Success host page now features the week's upcoming show, along with the most recent archived segments. I am hoping that the highlight feature will help potential new listeners tune into more shows. Having the next episode listed on the host page should assist the audience in that regard.I am looking forward to the new interactive approach taken by BlogTalkRadio in creating an interactive community of hosts and listeners. Here is a tip of the hat to the network crew of CEO Alan Levy, Bob Charish, Rob Backlin, Amy Domestico, Lisa Padilla, John Havens, and Luke Armour for their tireless work in creating the new site. They asked the hosts and listeners what they wanted in a community based social media network site. They delivered very well indeed. The future looks bright for citizen broadcasting pioneer BlogTalkRadio.
