National Day of Prayer for the Church in America

The power of prayer can change the course of a nation but God has to have people in place like Daniel and Esther that will stand in the gap for a nation. The remedy for national change is this:  "IF MY PEOPLE who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land." Christians along with non-Christians believe that choosing a new political leader will save our nation. God has a better idea and it's called, "The Church" in an attitude of humility and submission to him. Church, let us pray... for the Church.

What are our "wicked ways":

-idolatry

-rebellion against God

-divorce (covenant breakers)

-abortion

-sexual immorality

-witchcraft (manipulation)

-hatred

-variance

-emulations

-backbiting

-lying one to another

-false accusations

-alliances with evil

-and such like (as the apostle Paul declared)
