John Ortiz - Nederland, TX - The Gathering Place - National Awakening is Coming

John is the founder and Lead Pastor at The Gathering Place - Nederland. He grew up in Southeast Texas, were he has devoted his life to Jesus and to the local church. In 2001, while serving as an intern at a local church in Nederland, Texas, John had a dramatic encounter with the Holy Spirit that would ultimately jump start his ministry. Shortly, thereafter, John moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi to serve as youth director. Upon his return to Southeast Texas, God began to deal with John about local ministry. After running from his call, John would surrender to the Holy Spirit and relaunch his ministry. After many years of serving in the local church, John launched a new church - The Gathering Place - Nederland in the summer of 2014. John believes that church should be fun, relevant and practical, all while focusing on the truth of the Gospel.
