3 Small Business Marketing Consultant Secrets

How can a small business can cut their marketing expenses and still increase their sales?

Tune in to the show tomorrow to find out how to benefit from small business marketing consulting. On our show tomorrow we will be talking about how a small business can increase their bottom line net profit while at the same time cutting their marketing dollars.

Many advertising sales people approach a small business owner each day. When we operated a small business, specialty retail store, we received 2-3 requests every day from companies that wanted to advertise with us. Everyone seems to want our money and we know as small business owners that we should so some advertising to get customers.

Here are 3 very important keys that we will be talking about on the show that will make a huge difference to most small business owners.

    1.    Most small businesses should NEVER try to do name recognition advertising. Small business marketing should be tracked. Find a way to discover the effectiveness of every advertisement in bringing in dollars. You should know how many dollars an ad cost, and how many customers the ad brought in and the value of those customers to your business.

    2.    Always spend a lot of marketing focus (and usually it doesn’t cost much in dollars) to keep in regular communication with the customers you already have. If someone has bought from you in the past they are likely to buy from you again. Marketing to existing customers is the single biggest overlooked marketing secret most small business owners neglect.

    3.    Get referrals from happy customers. You should have happy customers that would be happy to give you referrals. Create some way to turn your customers into advocates for your business. When a prospective customer gets a recommendation from someone they know and trust to buy your products or services, you have something that marketing dollars cannot buy.

If you have any specific small business marketing consultant questions you can post them here now, and we’ll see what we can do to answer them on the show tomorrow, or you can call in during the show and we’ll be happy to visit with you about your specific small business marketing situation.

Looking forward to working with you as your small business marketing consultant,
