Rock-n-Roll steeped in Blues, Rhythm and Blues, couontry and gospel was birthed in the 1950's. It was an alloy of both blacks and whites spawning from names such as; Fats Domino, Lloyd Price, Ike Turner, Hank Williams, Joe Turner, Louis Jordan, Ray Charles, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Didley, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, and the father of Rock-n-Roll, "the Late Great Chuck Berry!"

Little Richard once said, "The Blues Had An Illegitimate Baby And We Named It Rock-n-Roll!"

Rock-n-Roll was birthed in the United States between 1949 - 1954 during a time when racial tension was high! The creators and inventors of this newfound music style demolished and destroyed racial barriers accross the country!

Taking a look back at this Chaotic yet Phenomenal era in time, we examine ourselves today and our culture. Where are we? Have we progressed or regressed?

Our Guest joining us for this evening for this topic is professional musician, "Dawaya Zachaya."
