WarChild aka Johnny IPod
United States, English
At the early age of 8 in Panama, WarChild started writing music and poetry. Growing up in a religious household, WarChild was forced to memorize his writings due to the fact that if his mother would find them they would be thrown away . In 1989 during the USA Panama Invasion, WarChild moved back to the United States where he gained more exposure to Hip Hop and R&B. From an early age, his mischievous personality and his innate ability to freestyle earned him his name,Wildin' And Rhymin' CHILD. WarChild's nomadic ways have carried him from Goldsboro, NC to Queens NY and back down south to Tuscaloosa, AL where he enlisted in the U.S Army. While in the Army WarChild would perform his first show in Seoul, Korea which eventually lead to a concert in Iraq. WarChild is the first and only active duty soldier to perform a concert while being deployed in Iraq. All of these experiences have helped WarChild develop his style that is nothing short of original! WarChild is also known by his alter ego "Johnny IPod", he is never seen without it. He has even carried it with him to war and back, in a sense it is his security blanket. Music is his life, not only does he keep it in his heart but also in his ears!!
