Great show. We not only need health insurance reform but also medical standards reform. My father was murdered by a doctor who covered up his mistake instead of saving his life. I was almost murdered by doctors who misdiagnosed me for 5 years with diabetes. People do not realize how bad things are in this country. We have close to the worst schools in the so called advanced nations. We have over 300,000 innocent people in prison. Our lawyers, police and doctors are failing to police themselves and get rid of the incompetency in their professions.

Handcuffing and arresting a man who posed no threat to anyone, was clearly more about bullying or ego than any imaginable necessity of law enforcement. In one article Sgt. Crowley even admits to waving his handcuffs at Dr. Gates.

When is enough going to be enough there needs to be a march on the justice Dept in D.C. about these out of control officers they need to be tested for steroids or drugs. Why are tax payers paying for officers to kill and abuse thier power on citizens the video below is a disgrace and that officer should be fired!

EPA issues are of Catastrophic concern to the existence of mankind. It would seem that "People of Color" are plagued with this waste, due to being "economically disadvantaged”. A word most popularly used to describe the social economic status of people of color. Regardless, this waste is killing human beings. For example, It’s no secret that Schlumberger Limited was found “Guilty” of EPA issues by the United States Government, but the price to continue business as usual, were payment of a “few” millions. (Note: A few million to Schlumberger limited in reality is a “few” cents…) This is the largest oil service giant in the world. What is the price of life???

"Senator McCain Based on the evidence available to it, the committee has given consideration to Senator McCain's actions on behalf of Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. The committee concludes that Senator McCain's actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him. The committee finds that Senator McCain took no further action after the April 9, 1987, meeting when he learned of the criminal referral. . . . Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate; therefore, the committee concludes that no further action is warranted with respect to Senator McCain on the matters investigated during the preliminary inquiry." http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D0CE2D71539F93BA15751C0A967958260

Exclusive: Obama to hit McCain on Keating Five Mike Allen Sun Oct 5, 11:09 PM ET Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on Monday will launch a multimedia campaign to draw attention to the involvement of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in the “Keating Five” savings-and-loan scandal of 1989-91, which blemished McCain’s public image and set him on his course as a self-styled reformer. ADVERTISEMENT Retaliating for what it calls McCain's “guilt-by-association” tactics, the Obama campaign is e-mailing millions of supporters a link to a website, KeatingEconomics.com, which will have a 13-minute documentary on the scandal beginning at noon Eastern time on Monday. The overnight e-mails urge recipients to pass the link on to friends. The Obama campaign, including its surrogates appearing on radio and television, will argue that the deregulatory fervor that caused massive, cascading savings-and-loan collapses in the late ‘80s was pursued by McCain throughout his career, and helped cause the current credit crisis. Obama-Biden communications director Dan Pfeiffer said: “While John McCain may want to turn the page on his erratic response to the current economic crisis, we think voters will find his involvement in a similar crisis to be particularly interesting. His involvement with Keating is a window into McCain’s economic past, present, and future.” Obama’s offensive comes after McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, spent two days telling voters, donors and reporters that Obama showed poor judgment in his relationship with the former radical William Ayers. McCain’s campaign has vowed to make a major issue of Obama’s Chicago relationships in coming days, with a senior McCain official telling Politico that they are “the vehicle that allows us to question Obama’s truthfulness about his past and his plans for the future.” The McCain campaign also plans to invoke money launderer Tony Rezko. Officials say they will not bring up Obama's former minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, because McCain has forbade his campaign from using that as an attack. But the officials said outside groups supporting McCain might highlight Wright. Responding to the Keating blast from the past, a Republican official said the Obama team seemed "frantic" at "the mere mention of the word 'Ayers.'" “The fact that the Obama team is recycling this old garbage 24 hours after Bill Ayers entered the race is a testament to how worried the Obama camp is of an unfettered airing of his associations," the official said. "Obama is a clever enough politician to know that his unexplored relationships with terrorists and felons are a serious liability in a race this close.” The Obama website says: “The current economic crisis demands that we understand John McCain's attitudes about economic oversight and corporate influence in federal regulation. ... The Keating scandal is eerily similar to today's credit crisis, where a lack of regulation and cozy relationships between the financial industry and Congress has allowed banks to make risky loans and profit by bending the rules.” In 1991, the Senate Ethics Committee cleared McCain of corruption charges but cited him for “poor judgment” in meeting with federal regulators on behalf of Charles H. Keating Jr., a political patron who went to prison for fraud in connection with the collapse of the California-based Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which at the time was one of the biggest financial failures in the nation’s history. A trailer for the campaign-produced documentary features William K. Black, a former bank regulator who McCain met with in the Keating case, saying: “The Keating Five involved all the things that have brought the modern crisis. Senator McCain has not learned the lesson, and has continued to follow policies that are going to produce a disaster.” The Obama website has news clips and a narrative explaining the scandal and McCain’s involvement for voters and reporters. The Keating episode took a searing toll on the senator and his wife, Cindy. Robert Timberg, in his 1999 biography “John McCain: An American Odyssey,” wrote that the trouble began with the senator “carelessly choosing his friends.” “McCain had stumbled into a scandal of immense proportions,” Timberg wrote. “Charles Keating, it turned out, had built his financial empire on the life savings of elderly retirees, men and women who watched helplessly as their dreams were snuffed out along with the assets of Keating’s Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. “The story was complicated, but the press found a tag line that simplified it. McCain and four other senators with ties to Keating were dubbed ‘the Keating Five.’ The label stuck, imputing to all the same degree of guilt even though it soon became evident that at least two, McCain and former astronaut John Glenn of Ohio, were far less culpable, if they were culpable at all.” Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), a close Obama adviser who is the fourth-ranking House Democratic leader, brought up McCain’s association with Keating on CNN’s “Late Edition” on Sunday. “John McCain got admonished by the Senate Ethics Committee for that,” Emanuel said.

Sarah Palin And Her Outrageous Rape Kit Policy By Bonnie Erbe Sep 18, 2008 E-Mail Story Print Story Sphere Share Text Size: A A A (US News) Mountains of controversy are swirling around Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's strange policy of forcing rape victims to pay for their own rape kits while she was mayor of the now-infamous town of Wasilla. The most interesting take I've found is posted by Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore who relates the following: I sat with a rape victim during the "harvesting of evidence". Mascara smeared eyes stared blankly out from a cave of shame. "We've got swimmers," announced the forensic tech in the lab next door. My friend didn't look surprised. In her 60's, she was still asked if she felt the need for emergency contraception. Surviving the process would have only been compounded and made worse with an itemized bill; victimized twice courtesy of Sarah Palin and the city of Wasilla. Much can be learned about the Palin Administration's family values from reviewing their spending priorities. Former Chief of Police Irl Stambaugh included forensic rape kits (up to $1,200 per kit) in his budget requests. He was fired by Palin in 1997. In her termination letter, Palin wrote, "...I do not feel I have your full support in my efforts to govern the city of Wasilla. Therefore I intend to terminate your employment... " Staumbaugh headed the police department since it was created in 1993. Before that, he served 22 years with the Anchorage Police Department rising to the rank of captain. Sarah Palin hired Charlie Fannon as the new Wasilla Chief of Police and said it was one of her best decisions as mayor. Fannon eliminated the forensic rape kits from the budget. Though the number of rapes weren't reported, Fannon claimed it would save Wasilla taxpayers $5,000 to $14,000 a year. Palin supporters ought to be taking a much closer look at her record on these types of issues (charging rape victims for evidentiary examinations so their attackers can be brought to trial) than whether she can juggle five children and the vice presidency. This, more than anything, should push women, pro-life and pro-choice, away from the McCain-Palin ticket. It's one thing to oppose abortion on moral grounds. It's quite another to charge crime victims for their own forensic examinations. Such a policy is nothing short of outrageous.

Hey Wake Up, It's taken me awhile to get back over here and I can see you've been B-U-S-Y!!! and in answer to your question: ARE AMERICANS THE NEW TERRORIST ON THE BLOCK? IS THIS HR 1955? The answer is YES! AND HR 1955 wasn't needed for that. When I get another minute I'll find the documentation about the difference between being part of a republic and a democrary. And then there's that whole thing about the individual STATES. It's no accident that Washington D.C. the seat of our government is NOT a State! Think about it!

You mumble “It sure is christian to have children out of wedlock. Wow maybe 17 year olds around the country will use the Palins as the American example and model and all start getting pregnant while still in high school. Glad it wasn't Obama's daughter.” Let’s talk about what’s Christian and what’s liberal. A Christian understands that trying to bring children up in a libertine culture that glamorizes the gang lifestyle, promotes sex without consequences, pushes drug use and trivializes responsibility is very difficult, and it’s a lonely battle that we will sometimes lose. When our children succumb to the seductions of this cultural sewer, Christians don’t throw their children out for failure. We lament the mistake and love the child – any decent person would do that. What is the Liberal answer? First choice: Kill the baby – take advantage of the government sponsored birth control option that has wiped out 40 million babies over the last 40 years. Second choice – sign up for welfare. Make sure you turn away the father – you’ll get more money from the government if you’re a single mother. Liberals who are “punished with a baby” just kill it or demand the government subsidize it. The example Sarah Palin set is that if you find yourself pregnant – choose responsibility. The Democrats demand death and dependency.
9/6/2008 5:24 PM UTC
You whine “I think this thing with Sarah Palin is disgusting and most women should feel disrespected at Mccain playing the Gender card. What would this GOP say if it the shoe was on the other foot and it was Obama. They would be all over him like white on rice.” What would we do if Obama chose Hillary? Obama didn’t have the balls to pick Hillary – it is likely he is as misogynistic as his base is. There are a few things America is finding out about Obama and his glazed eyed followers – they are racist, sexist little thugs – read the comments on any Obama blog. I can understand the fear about Sarah Palin, the intellectual impotence on the left leaves room for only juvenile barbs. Is it possible to have an intelligent conversation about the complex issues that surround this presidential race with an Obama clone? As soon as I find a clone who will take out his pacifier for a moment I’ll bring you the answer.
You beg “Please check out our last couple of shows on Sarah Palin and the unknown facts about her and her red neck crew. How about her and husband being part of an organization that had only white members only and was fighting for separate soverenty from the USA. Whose talking about that? Its all on record. Man if Obama had been part of the black panthers or any group that could be assumed separatist from US. This is bullshit. Sarah Palin and her family are unamerican red necks.” Your show is unbearable to listen to, you speak as poorly as you write. You think as poorly as you spell. But it’s ironic hearing you slander Sarah Palin’s family after you bitched and moaned about how unfair it was to challenge your favorite pastor Jeremiah Wright! Has anyone got a transcript or a video of this “organization” saying “God Damn America”? Any clips of them blaming black people for genocide and colonialism like Wright did white people? Any proof at all that they are preaching White Liberation Theology like that miscreant of yours preaching Black Liberation Theology? You intimate the Palin’s are racist after what we’ve heard from you? The horrendous characters your savior hangs with leave you no credibility to talk about Palin!
Your drivel “What a political mess this is more drama than the average soap opera. BTW if you get a chance check out of fact sheet/list that the media has shared with you on the REAL SARAH PALIN besides he beauty queen experience and her inability to even run a family business but she wants to run a country. HA!” Has the Messiah ever run a business? Run a city? Run a state? All he can do is run his mouth, and that’s no qualification for president. I would rather have a candidate who has run something of consequence and failed than support a charlatan is presumes to tell me how to run my life when he has never done a damn thing in his life except write about what a victim he is. Barack Obama is a child in a man’s suit.
9/6/2008 5:23 PM UTC
You whined “How about cutting funding on a Teen group homes, counseling in Alaska and lets tell the truth about all those earmarks that she requested for Alaska which she promises to stop.” The media is already retracting your funding lie and after perusing the fact list you moonbats have pasted together, it looks like you’ve been spending more time with the bong than usual. How about that library list – Ha! You are so desperate! You Depressed? I bet. All your momentum now belongs to us!
You spat “Sarah Palin is a failure as a Governor and a mother! Lets Keep it real. She need to be at home breastfeeding that 4 month old baby maybe if she spent more time with her children instead of dumping them off and providing no balance life they wouldnt be running around seeking love and companionship. Those poor kids. A chicken has more care for her chicks after spitting out eggs than she does.” This is a quote we’ll be posting on our blog right up until election day – what a perfect example of Democrat sexism gone wild. Keeping it real? It didn’t take much to reveal just how pathetic the left is, did it? Four days? You are a blessing to every civilized American out there who hasn’t seen the left for what it really is – a salivating, knuckle dragging, backhanding troupe of goons who will sell their souls for a chance to gain power. Whether its race, gender or economics – the Democrats will pander and patronize whoever they must to win, and if anyone leaves the plantation, then they’re apostates and have lost their authenticity. Who made you kooks the judge of who is authentic? More quotes like the one above prove that electing Obama and appeasing his disciples means a step backward for America and a step down for equality!

To: U.S Senate We the undersigned strongly, and adamantly oppose House of Representatives Bill 1955, and Senate Bill 1959 Titled Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorist Act of 2007. This Bill if passed into law considering its loose language, and ambiguous definitions or lack thereof could very easily be used as a tool to diminish or abolish the rights, freedoms, and liberties that we inherently have under the U.S Constitution. This Bill as We The People see it, poses the greatest threat to the Constitution to date. The Bill lacks a definition for “extremist belief system”. It further lacks a definition of “force”. If passed as is, this Bill made Law could leave interpretation to the government as they see fit to interpret. It would give the government the right to target any group as terrorist based or any person as a terrorist. If made law it would give power to the government to breach or completely take away our right of freedom of speech regardless of the section that declares there will be a division set up to ensure our rights are protected. We oppose strongly the proposition of self policing this commission. The ambiguous language in this Bill negates the declaration of insuring our rights , liberties, and freedoms. We the people strongly, and adamantly oppose the language in the Bill regarding the Internet. The Internet is a great means of expression of our freedom of speech, and this avenue must be protected. If this Bill were passed to Law it would give the government the right to censor, restrict or abolish it all together. We the people demand that this Bill be thrown out of the Senate, and dropped. There are sufficient laws, and statues in place to insure groups that should be targeted as terrorist are. They will have the opportunity for due process under the law. Sincerely, THE POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN INC MR JERRY ROBINSON PRESIDENT

It's just like when you've got some coffee that's too black, which means it's too strong. What do you do? You integrate it with cream, you make it weak. But if you pour too much cream in it, you won't even know you ever had coffee. It used to be hot, it becomes cool. It used to be strong, it becomes weak. It used to wake you up, now it puts you to sleep. ~Malcolm X

Dear God,
The other night, the Rev. James Dobson's ministry asked all believers to pray for a storm on Thursday night so that the Obama acceptance speech outdoors in Denver would have to be canceled. I see that You have answered Rev. Dobson's prayers -- except the storm You have sent to earth is not over Denver, but on its way to New Orleans! In fact, You have scheduled it to hit Louisiana at exactly the moment that George W. Bush is to deliver his speech at the Republican National Convention. Now, heavenly Father, we all know You have a great sense of humor and impeccable timing. To send a hurricane on the third anniversary of the Katrina disaster AND right at the beginning of the Republican Convention was, at first blush, a stroke of divine irony. I don't blame You, I know You're angry that the Republicans tried to blame YOU for Katrina by calling it an "Act of God" -- when the truth was that the hurricane itself caused few casualties in New Orleans. Over a thousand people died because of the mistakes and neglect caused by humans, not You.
Some of us tried to help after Katrina hit, while Bush ate cake with McCain and twiddled his thumbs. I closed my office in New York and sent my entire staff down to New Orleans to help. I asked people on my website to contribute to the relief effort I organized -- and I ended up sending over two million dollars in donations, food, water, and supplies (collected from thousands of fans) to New Orleans while Bush's FEMA ice trucks were still driving around Maine three weeks later.
But this past Thursday night, the Washington Post reported that the Republicans had begun making plans to possibly postpone the convention. The AP had reported that there were no shelters set up in New Orleans for this storm, and that the levee repairs have not been adequate. In other words, as the great Ronald Reagan would say, "There you go again!"
So the last thing John McCain and the Republicans needed was to have a split-screen on TVs across America: one side with Bush and McCain partying in St. Paul, and on the other side of the screen, live footage of their Republican administration screwing up once again while New Orleans drowns.
So, yes, You have scared the Jesus, Mary and Joseph out of them, and more than a few million of your followers tip their hats to You. But now it appears that You haven't been having just a little fun with Bush & Co. It appears that Hurricane Gustav is truly heading to New Orleans and the Gulf coast. We hear You, O Lord, loud and clear, just as we did when Rev. Falwell said You made 9/11 happen because of all those gays and abortions. We beseech You, O Merciful One, not to punish us again as Pat Robertson said You did by giving us Katrina because of America's "wholesale slaughter of unborn children." His sentiments were echoed by other Republicans in 2005.
So this is my plea to you: Don't do this to Louisiana again. The Republicans got your message. They are scrambling and doing the best they can to get planes, trains and buses to New Orleans so that everyone can get out. They haven't sent the entire Louisiana National Guard to Iraq this time -- they are already patrolling the city streets. And, in a nod to I don't know what, Bush's head of FEMA has named a man to help manage the federal government's response. His name is W. Michael Moore. I kid you not, heavenly Father. They have sent a man with both my name AND W's to help save the Gulf Coast.
So please God, let the storm die out at sea. It's done enough damage already. If you do this one favor for me, I promise not to invoke your name again. I'll leave that to the followers of Rev. Dobson and to those gathering this week in St. Paul.
Your faithful servant and former seminarian,
Michael Moore

An American Dilemma: The Negro Problem and Modern Democracy. By Gunnar Myrdal
Note: Keep in mind, the author Gunnar Myrdal (of Swedish Descent) was affiliated with the Institute of International Economic Relations at the Stockholm University, Sweden. His research was funded by the Carnegie Corporation.
* * * End of Note * * *
This book is an extremely influential document about the conditions under which Americans of African descent lived during the first half of the twentieth century. It became, in fact, the definitive study of 'the American Negro' for its time -- carefully documenting social and economic conditions, family structure and lifestyle, political awareness, communal institutions, religion, and an enormous variety of other issues related to American racism. In many ways, this lengthy study (the text is nearly 1,500 pages in all) offered academic and political leaders useful and truthful evidence of the enduring effects both of slavery and contemporary racism on the part of whites. The study was, in fact, instrumental in the Supreme Court's historic 1954 anti-segregation decision. For that reason, its documentation of a virtually-universal genocidal intent on the part of whites is especially valid. Equally important is the fact that the author, while revealing to the white intellectuals for the first time the impact of systematic discrimination in the United States, openly agreed with the goal of removing black people from the country, even to the point of recommending openly how it might be accomplished. Gunnar Myrdal was affiliated with the Institute of International Economic Relations at the Stockholm University, Sweden. His research was funded by the Carnegie Corporation. The portions of text quoted here are from Chapter 7, titled 'POPULATION. ' On page 167 of the book, under the sub-heading 'Ends and Means of Population Policy,' appears the following analysis (emphasis in original): [T]here is no doubt that the overwhelming majority of white Americans desire that there be as few Negroes as possible in America. If the Negroes could be eliminated from America or greatly decreased in numbers, this would meet the whites' approval -- provided that it could be accomplished by means which are also approved. Correspondingly, an increase of the proportion of Negroes in the American population is commonly looked upon as undesirable. On page 168, Myrdal further remarks that these ideas are 'not necessarily hostile' in all situations. He comments that the very same opinion... ... is shared even by enlightened white Americans who do not hold the common belief that Negroes are inferior as a race. Usually it is pointed out that Negroes fare better and meet less prejudice when they are few in number. Toward the bottom of the same page (168), the following appears: ...as we shall presently see, all white Americans agree that, if the Negro is to be eliminated, he must be eliminated slowly so as not to hurt any living individual Negroes. Therefore, the dominant American valuation is that “the Negro should be eliminated from the American scene, but slowly.”Regarding the difficulties posed by the 'problem' of Negro population, Myrdal states on page 170 that.... In our further discussion of the means in Negro population policy we ought start out from the desire of the politically dominant white population to get rid of the Negroes. This is a goal difficult to reach by approved means, and the desire has never been translated into action directly, and probably never will be. All the most obvious means go strongly against the American Creed. The Negroes cannot be killed off. Compulsory deportation would infringe upon personal liberty in such a radical fashion that it is excluded. Voluntary exportation of Negroes could not be carried on extensively because of unwillingness on the part of recipient nations as well as on the part of the American Negroes themselves, who usually do not want to leave the country but prefer to stay and fight it out here. Neither is it possible to effectuate the goal by keeping up the Negro death rate. A high death rate is an unhumanitarian and undemocratic way to restrict the Negro population and, in addition, expensive to society and dangerous to the white population. The only possible way of decreasing Negro population is by means of controlling “fertility.” But as we shall find, even birth control -- for Negroes as well as for whites -- will, in practice, have to be considered primarily as a means to other ends than that of decreasing the Negro population. After a lengthy discussion of the reasons for promoting birth control among people of African descent (and to a lesser extent among poor people generally), Myrdal then endorses, on page 178 of the book, 'extreme' measures in this direction: If caste with all its consequences were to disappear, there would, from these viewpoints, be no more need for birth control among Negroes than among whites. But the general reasons for family limitation would remain, and they would have a strength depending upon the extent to which society was reformed to become a more favorable environment for families with children. Until these reforms are carried out, and as long as the burden of caste is laid upon American Negroes, even an extreme birth control program is warranted by reasons of individual and social welfare. Finally, Myrdal acknowledges the opposition to such a program that is virtually certain to arise from the black community, and he infers that a certain amount of deception will be needed -- primarily the use of 'negro doctors and nurses' to conceal the real goals of white society. Note especially the change in language by which a serious attempt to 'get rid of the Negroes' suddenly is transformed into a campaign of birth planning meant to 'benefit' them (page 180): The activity of the birth control movement's workers, the Southern whites, and the Negro leaders -- all with the same aim of spreading birth control among Negroes -- promises a great development of the movement in the future..... A ... serious difficulty is that of educating Southern Negroes to the advantages of birth control. Negroes, on the whole, have all the prejudices against it that other poor, ignorant, superstitious people have. More serious is the fact that even when they do accept it, they are not very efficient in obeying instructions and sometimes they come to feel that it is a fake. An intensive educational campaign is needed, giving special recognition to the prejudices and ignorance of the people whom the campaign is to benefit. The use of Negro doctors and nurses is essential. BACKGROUND The chapter on 'population' begins by advising that, until about the 1930s, the growth of the black population lagged far behind the increase in white population. Not only fertility, but immigration as well, tended to support a phenomenal rise in the numbers of white U.S. residents between the end of the 18th century and the early 20th. However, birth rates among both black and white people had fallen in the years prior to Myrdal's research, to the point that black fertility had for the first time become measurably higher than white. This information on demographic trends begins on the first page of the population chapter, page 157 (citations omitted): There were about 17 times as many Negroes in the United States in 1940 as there were in 1790, when the first census was taken, but in the same period the white population increased 37 times... Negroes were 19.3 per cent of the American population in 1790, but only 9.8 per cent in 1940.... [The relative change in proportion] has been governed by the national increase of the two population stocks, by expansion of the territorial limits of the United States and by immigration. At page 160 (re census figures): Despite the errors in the data, it is possible to derive the following tentative conclusions: (1) that Negroes, like whites, are not reproducing themselves so rapidly as they used to, (2) that probably their rate is now higher than that of the whites, and (3) that this differential is a new phenomenon, at least in so far as it is significant. If such a differential continues into the future and if it is not fully compensated for by immigration of whites, the proportion of Negroes in the American population may be expected to rise, though slowly. Half way down the next page (page 161), Myrdal observes: ...Negroes are no longer reproducing themselves at a lower rate than whites. In fact, the figures suggest that they are reproducing themselves more -- thus reversing the position they held in 1930 and before. As to future trends, the author includes a veiled hint about the potential for intervention on page 163: It must be remembered, however, that future change in fertility and mortality will change the entire pattern. At page 165, Myrdal points out the inconsistencies in various popular beliefs about the black population: Popular theories on the growth of the Negro population in America have been diverse. At times it has been claimed that Negroes 'breed like rabbits,' and that they will ultimately crowd out the whites if they are not deported or their procreation restricted. At other times it has been pronounced that they are a 'dying race,' bound to lose out in the 'struggle for survival.' Myrdal writes that it is common among 'liberal' white Americans to rationalize the depopulation of persons of African descent on the grounds that there will be less prejudice as the size of the black population diminishes But this is clearly not the perception of the black community. Writes Myrdal (at the bottom of page 168), 'I have never met a Negro who drew the conclusion from this that a decrease of the American Negro population would be advantageous. Indeed, says the very same paragraph (on page 169): 'almost every Negro, who is brought to think about the problem, wants the Negro population to be as large as possible.’
