Well, iCharity is a Peer-to-Peer, Friend-to-Friend CrowdSharing Community. It is similar to the Crowdfunding Platforms such as GoFundMe and KickStarter.

The major differences are we don't ask for a Platform, a part of your donations OR mediate your activity. Both Crowdfunding and CrowdSharing are legal within the U.S. The tax laws allows for everyone to gift another person up to $14,000 without reporting to IRS or paying taxes on the "gift".
