    I'm Thankful for...

On Thanksgiving night, I'm sitting here thinking of all the things I'm thankful for, and I think it's only right I put it out there for everyone to see, so maybe something rings a bell...

I'm Thankful for My Family.  My wife, my kids, my parents and grandparents.  I'm thankful for everyone who cares about me and helps enrich my life.

I'm Thankful for my freedom.  I live in the greatest country in the world.  I have the ability to get on the air, on a message board or go into the street and say whatever I want.  I get to choose almost everything in my life and for whatever reason I want.

I'm Thankful for General Neyland, Phillip Fulmer, Johnny Majors and all the other coaches who have led our proud football program to a history that few other schools in college football have, that allows me to be so proud to be a Volunteer.

I'm Thankful for Doug Atkins, Steve Kiner, Condredge Holloway, Reggie White, the Sugar Vols and all the other Vols to follow, that have given myself and so many others such great memories over the years.  There are so many rich moments in the history of our program, if you started naming them, then you'd have to stay put awhile.

I'm Thankful for the beautiful lay of the land in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Every time I go to a ball game, I look around and have to remind myself that few other fan bases get to enjoy beautiful mountains, a major river, rolling hills and the great classical architecture of our school all in one place.

I'm Thankful for all of the fans, that make Knoxville such a magical place to be, whether it's for a football game or basketball game.

I'm Thankful for all of the listeners that have tuned into the show.  We've climbed into the top 4th of ALL sports programming in 2 shows, and only listeners make that possible.  I'm doing someting I love doing and having a lot of fun doing it.

I'm Thankful for Bruce Pearl.  I have several chances to have personal moments with Pearl and he's accomodated them all.  He's revived UT basketball and has enriched the image of our school perhaps as much as any one person in our history.  Bruce chose to stay  here, when he could have left for better "traditional" jobs, and I'm thankful for that.

I'm Thankful for The Godfather.  The Usual Suspects.  Pulp Fiction.  Scarlett Johansson.  The internet.  The Xbox 360.  Hondas.  Ramen Noodles with Creole seasoning.

And most of all, I'm thankful for the gift of life.

I hope everyone who reads this thought of something they could be thankful for today that they hadn't already.

    Go Vols
