"I contracted Transverse Myelitis July 7, 1967. I was paralyzed from the neck down and diagnosed with TM between C5-C6 vertebra, I was 17 years old. I lay in my bed not able to move for about a month before I was transferred to a rehabilitation center. In other words I had a lot of time to think about had happened to me, that’s when I made up mind to fight this disease." Mike
The Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis Foundation is a non-profit foundation to promote awareness and raise money for Transverse Myelitis research for a cure and prevention. All profits will go to spinal cord research and other causes at the University of Alabama at Birmingham related to Transverse Myelitis. TM is one of those orphan diseases that does not draw much attention because it is not well known. There is no cure, please help these researchers find one. Please go to our Donations page and help make a difference.
It's good to talk.
