What are voluntary virtues? What is this website? Many people have asked about a voluntary society, and to no surprise, as very few people have truly been exposed to the ideals of personal freedom and self-ownership. In a voluntary, free society, individuals would be able to do as they wish, as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others. In this society, no individual is forced to sacrifice his or her life for the sake of another person. This does not mean that individuals cannot be charitable, compassionate, caring, and kind, quite the opposite. A free, voluntary society is the only environment in which individuals are actually able to fulfill these attributes, as there is nothing entrepreneurial about central institutionalized coercion. Voluntary virtues enable civilization and society to build prosperity and peace, and is the only path to such ends, as everything else is an infringement upon individual rights and a loss of self-ownership. Voluntary virtues strives to convince humanity to use persuasion, not coercion, to handle civilizations perplexing disputes. Although these ideals might be sparse, just like the enlightment ended many taboos and just like the time humanity stopped executing individuals for stating that the earth was flat, truth will only permeate society more as time continues moving forward, regardless of the various statism waves our current time frame might be constrained. Voluntary Virtues are on the rise, and the world will be better because of it.
