No one really understands the soul of an artist except another artist. Record labels look at the bottom line — so do managers, producers, etc., and ultimately, so do fans. As along as everything is great, everyone is happy. When the bottom falls out — like losing your instrument — that is quite another story, and that is what I am going to talk about.
