The Voice of Change, hosted by Sharon Ann Wikoff will have Rebecca Valentine as her guest, Friday Evening, October 9th from 6-7 PM PST. Rebecca will be talking about the Carbon Miles in our food and transportation and what that means for the health of the planet. Rebecca Valentine is a sustainability visionary possessing a wry sense of humor and a geeky enthusiasm for eco-living. She has an extensive and varied background as a green building professional and a sustainability consultant. She worked in solar energy sales and marketing, and served as an event coordinator at a well-respected green building expo. Rebecca served as creative consultant for the documentary, “Your Solar Home”. She has presented peak oil and personal activism concepts to high school students and was part of a panel on “Greening Your Solar Business” at the 2007 annual American Solar Energy Society conference. In addition, she is a LEED Accredited Professional, currently working as Program Facilitator for Longview Education Associates, a green building education company. She is also the Project Lead for HOW-e, the Green Idea House, a green retrofit demonstration house in Santa Rosa, CA.
