VOC Nation Featured Artist of the Month: That Boy AB A.B. is a 23 year old independent recording artist from New Jersey. He has built a following around his new-school style, clever lyrics, and energetic performances. Although his music is Hip-Hop based, he has written and recorded in many different genres of music, including E.D.M., Dub-step, and R&B. He has performed at numerous venues in Philadelphia, including Treasures Banquet Hall, The Arts Garage, and the famous "Trocadero" venue on Arch Avenue. He has opened for artists such as Brand Nubian, Nice & Smooth, and Kwame and has a very impressive studio resume, recording over 40 tracks in his first 6 months on the scene. The VOC Wrestling Nation went live at 5PM ET with Ring of Honor Talent Mike Bennett, who discussed his relationship with Maria Kanellis, his aspirations for the future, and his opinion of the ROH product. We also ran down RAW, talked about the Kamala controversy regarding Wrestler's Rescue, and much more. More about AB: Although he has been writing and rapping since age 12, he has recently started showcasing his musical talent through social media networks, and in only 8 months time has generated a very notable local and internet buzz. His first video, "Change For Me", got over 1,000 hits on Youtube within its first 24 hours of its release, and his Youtube channel has surpassed 16,000 hits within an 8 month period. He has 4,400+ followers on twitter, and also has a generous following on Facebook. He has been featured on sites such as HotNewHipHop, SoundClick, MySpace, and SoundCloud, and is set to release a promotional mixtape in August. A.B. is very familiar with the college atmosphere, attending East Stroudsburg University for 2.5 years before leaving to pursue a music career. He excelled in Public Speaking and Writing, both which play a huge part in his success as an artist.
