Welcome to Business Black Belt Radio!

Each week I interview an investor, an expert in business development, financing, marketing or management, or an entrepreneur who offers some keen insights into building your business...

Steve Meyers is Of Counsel with the Optima Law Group, a boutique corporate, securities, and intellectual property law firm headquartered in San Diego, CA. He is a business-savvy lawyer with in-depth knowledge of law, business, technology, and the needs of early-stage companies.  He began his legal career as an Enforcement Attorney with the Securities & Exchange Commission in San Francisco.  He went on to become in-house counsel with several publicly traded and pre-IPO companies in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, including National Semiconductor and Spreckels Sugar Company.

During the “Dot-Com Boom”, Steve was in-house counsel for a Silicon Valley B2B e-Commerce company before its IPO, negotiating and drafting all of its license and strategic marketing agreements. He relocated to San Diego and became Counsel to MP3.com, formerly the world’s largest online music service provider.

Now in Palm Springs, he assists companies to raise money in compliance with Federal and State securities laws.  In addition to preparing offering documents, he advises companies on valuation methodologies and ways to structure offerings to maximize capital and shareholder value.

Steve received his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley.
