Let's face it, whether you're the daughter, the son, the boyfriend, or the the husband, of the daughter, the mother,or the grandmother, this special day holds some kind of meaning...
And no matter what our memories are of our mother, bad or good, we will always remember some wonderful things about her. So what are your memories on this day of tribute to our moms?
I decided to step off a cliff and share some of my experiences with my mother as I was growing up - and as an adult. Without question I know some of you will relate to some of my experiences. Fortunately many of you have had more good than bad memories.
By the way, this is not a pity party! I actually remember some special moments with my mother, regardles of the fact that her true spirit was masked and buried by the mental illness she suffered with from my early childhood.
Warning: Several times throughout this show, I feel apart. My emotions took over. And for that I'm grateful. Because for most of my life I actually did come from a victim perspective. Today I truly fell blessed to have had the mother I had. She is in large part the reason I am who I am today! And it's all good! Actually GREAT!
I'd love you to drop by our Facebook page and comment on what came up for you while listening to the show. It's always so cathartic when we share our deepest self with others. We're always surprised at how much we have in common! Right?
