Marc Barasch is the author of bestseller Field Notes on the Compassionate Life(reissued as The Compassionate Life) that inspired the film, “I Am.” Archbishop Desmond Tutu calls this book “a compulsory read for all” and Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence, calls it "an essential guide for anyone who cares deeply about the human condition, and how we can help each other find our way through with love and guts.”
After writing this book, Marc set out on the path of “green compassion,” founding Green World Campaign (www.greenworld.org) that is restoring the ecology and economy of some of the world’s poorest places, such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, and the Philippines. He won an International Green Award for “Text TREE,” that he produced on jumbo screens in Times Square on Earth Day 2011.
Marc, a former cancer patient, wrote Remarkable Recovery, a study of spontaneous remission that is used in medical schools and hospitals, and The Healing Path, which Dr. Larry Dossey calls, “a beacon of science, spirituality, and sanity.”
