John’s Doe Main stops in to update the listeners

Quickly rising to the top of the underground hip-hop scene, John’s Doe Main has become a premier documentary program for audiences. With its signature gritty cinematography and exclusive interviews, John’s Doe Main, created and directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker John Doe, focuses on all the elements of Hip-Hop by returning the culture to its origins of social commentary. Along the way John’s Doe Main has discussed the issues orbiting hip-hop and the world with a variety of guests that have included Lil Wayne, Grammy award winning – Wyclef Jean, Lil Scrappy, Whodini, Murphy Lee, Ghostface, Rakim, Obie Trice, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Immortal Technique, Juvenile, Freeway and more. Doe, of Louisville, Kentucky, began his hip-hop career in 1989 as a break dancer and rapper, but as he the culture expanded he fell in love with hip-hop’s journalism. Aspiring to interview, direct, produce and write new programming for a new generation of viewers and listeners, Barbour committed himself to film making. With a resume, that features video direction and production for artist such as Wreck D. Mic, Father Jah, Lil Ashley, Gangsta Yush, and more; Doe’s talents have not stopped there. In 2005, after starring in the underground classic “Life in the Street”, Doe launched a documentary series – Doemania. With the trilogy completed, he then released Hip Hop: Dead or Alive to a national audience that gained critical acclaim with its in-depth critique on the state of the industry and culture. When asked, “John Doe” described his style as “Dick Clark meets Fab Five Freddy meets Tavis Smiley meets Don Cornelius. I want to do quality products that will affect the world of entertainment, socially and politically, like Bob Marley,” says Doe. At the rate that he is going, John’s Doe Main is certainly on its way.

HAZIQ Stops by for am Innerview w/ viva fidel

Can music have a message and still move the crowd? It's an age-old question in rap. And while some have their doubts, D.C. personality Haziq Ali knows it's possible. Already, along with his business partner-in-rhyme TabiBonney, this innovative wordsmith is forging a new rap renaissance built on thoughtful lyrics that dont abandon hot beats and party anthems, the bedrock of successful contemporary Hip-Pop music. "I'm really goin' for that perfect mixture between the streets and the spirit, somebody called what I make 'U-Can-Do-It-Music' and I loved that! With so much going on in the world, people deserve to be inspired", he says.

Extras

More than an Emcee, Fidel has affectionately used HIPHOP as a vehicle internationally for political and social change. Fidel, A Taste Emcee, has earned many titles ranging from Motivational Counselor, Lecturer, to Political Activists, Freelance Journalists, Producer, Model, & Messenger. He understands the popularity of Hip Hop and has been favored to be well accepted in the art of emceeing, without compromising meaning or flavor. Music with substance has become a method of delivering important messages to our youth, especially in his strong hold of Milwaukee , WI .

As an accomplished journalist Fidel is already submerged in the industry has published interviews with countless celebrities and legends including Russell Simmons, P. Diddy, Mobb Deep, Mc Lyte, E40, Marley Marl, Mixmaster Ice, Hip Hop founding fathers Afrika Bambaata, DJ Kool Herc & Just-Ice to name a few. This well rounded artist is a veteran in the industry with over 10 years of experiences in music, film & journalism. Touring professionally as an entertainer/emcee, he is spreading more than a catchy hook in his songs. Fidel is spreading love for the people through music. Performing with the likes of COMMON, KRSONE, TOO SHORT, MIKE JONES, DEAD PREZ, BLACK EYED PEAS. Hosting political greats such as Maxine Waters, Angela Davis, and Fred Hampton Jr., he has strengthened his partnerships and opened his network to many great opportunities. He doesn't stop there. He facilitates his motivational workshops on college campuses and schools fusing hip hop culture and education. This is a combination necessary to win the hearts and appeal of the people.
