They call is MASS HYSTERIA!Welcome to my very first blog entry on BlogTalkRadio! There 'sure in the heck' is a lot going on in the Melanie O'Kane Dot Com laboratories, so let's get started...What's All the Buzz About?I am in the process of lining up several guest speakers for upcoming shows. The first show will be on Tuesday, 5 February 2008, at 9:00 a.m. (CST). Topic: The positive impact work-from-home parents have on their children and families, simply by being available to them 24/7. It already promises to be both enlightening and inspiring! For future shows, my sights are set on high-profile virtual assistants, industry thought leaders, and individuals with celebrity status as guests for the Melanie O'Kane Dot Com Radio Hour, a show with a mission to promote and preserve the integrity of a profession that helps sustain socio-economic, domestic and environmental wellbeing for the entire world. The Virtual Assistant Industry BoomThe Virtual Assistant profession really took off during the Dot-Com boom of the early 90's, when technology was ripe for the picking, easily accessible, and fuel for a new entrepreneurial generation, who desired to work for themselves instead of an unstable employer that didn't reciprocate their loyalty.Yet, nearly 20 years later, a large portion of the population remains unlearned about the Virtual Assistant Industry. And so the story goes...Ever wonder where your day has gone? You wake up and get ready for work. You hop in your car and drive the miles. By 8:00, you're seated behind Mr. Desk and ready to put your nose to the emery board. After what seems like an hour or so, you look up and stretch, hearing all the tiny clicks in your neck and feeling the strain on your shoulders and back. Do your eyes deceive you when you notice the time? It's past Noon; you haven't even started working on revenue-generating tasks yet; and there's a strong, persistent rumble in your tummy demanding sustenance!Oh, what you wouldn't give to GIVE all that extra "stuff" to a trusted professional, who could just take care of it and free up your time to concentrate on generating customers, formulate multiple streams of income, and spend more time doing the things you would really rather be doing!Sound familiar? Then you need a virtual assistant, my friend. Until next time, be sure to tell all your friends and colleagues about the Melanie O'Kane Dot Com Radio Hour, each Tuesday from 9-10a.m., Central Standard Time (USA). Until next time...I'm your host, Melanie O'Kane. Have a terrific day, everyone!www.melanieokane.com
