J. Blake Gallimore - Poet

J. Blake Gallimore joins us tonight and we will be premiering several of his poems for you to enjoy (as performed by Viktor Aurelius)!

Here is how he describes himself:  I am currently working on two books. One is a short pictorial book, sort of a fun adult (children's book) of sorts entitled "When Dead is Dead" it's a 25 page book that covers all the different ways we can have our lives taken away. Also working on a 75 -100 page book of poems entitled "Therapy for the Mentally Well" - this is a book of poems that I have collected over the past 25 years. It's mainly about the darker sides of my life. I live in west Tennessee. I'm a dialysis technician by day and an avid runner at night. When I'm not running, I write. Both go hand in hand as a means of therapy. I've tried to force good things to come from my writings, but all that tends to leak out are dark and depressed. Thus being where I took the title for my first full book of poems "Therapy for the Mentally Well". I've had several works published but am searching for a publisher at the moment to help further along my career in writing. Help! Let me help others who may be struggling through life by reading my book thus allowing them to know, it's ok to be alone and depressed! Just don't do the un-thinkable.
