    Morrowind, the fantasy RPG played on XBox and PC gaming systems.


    Guilds: Can only join 1 house but All 4 guilds


    Fighters and Mages Guilds have equipment chests holding potions and random equipment for all members.


    Mages Guilds = Transportation and Spell Making.


    Fighters Guild = Money Guild. Get Paid for Quests.


    Theives Guilds = Why should you belong? If you accidently commit a crime, you can visit a certain member in Balmora in the South wall corner club in the basement (named Phane Rielle) to get the bounty off you.


    Morag Tong Guild = Also a money guild but much more difficult and greater rewards.

    3 Major house - Hlaalu (Theif); Redoran (Fighters); Telvani (Mage) Hard to join they don’t like outlanders.


    *If you want to be a major player in the politics of Morrowind ie) have your own Mansion provided with servants and trainers, The Fighter and Mage Guilds are easiest to attain rank in with the Theives Guild and Morag Tong being more difficult.


    The Speechcraft skill is essential if you are going to be a member of the Morag Tong.

    Government facilities to join:


    Tribunal Temple - Something I don’t suggest because the first quest with them is highly dangerous putting you in immediate peril. A Guild to join after beating main quest.


    The Imperial Legion - Basically being a member of “The Law” … like Judge Dredd “I Am The Law” :)


    Vivec - The Biggest City in Vvardenfell. Along the Southern Coast with 9 different Cantons:


    Foreign Quarter - Major Guild Locations Trade Area


    Redoran Canton - House Redoran Represented


    Telvani Canton - House Telvani Represented


    Hlaalu Canton - House Hlaalu Represented


    Saint Olms Canton - Minor Housing Areas


    Arena - Formal Duels Where Morag Tong is Located


    Saint Delyn - Minor Housing Area


    Temple - Belongs to the Tribunal Temple


    Palace - Not Really a Canton, but a Palace Where Lord Vivec Lives.


    *Being certain that your purchased game includes the paper map will assist your travels greatly in Morrowind. Across the paper map there are little black X’s in the water, those are shipwreck areas.

    Glitches: If you wish to glitch by a Soul Trap Spell - Every glitch in the game must include a Soul Trap Spell on target for 1 second that will beat the end of the glitch spell. When you are casting a glitch spell, be sure you are in 1st person mode looking directly down where your feet should be located.

    Glitch spells can be done with stat boosting spells. any spell that says “Fortify” and a number of different spell types. Found this out at GameFAQs.com.


    Jump Glitch - Buy a spell of tinurs hoptoad, experiment with it, find a good point base that you like to jump at, I recommend 20.  Remeber to have soul trap on target at the end of the spell.

    There are other glitch spells that you will find as you go. I recommend that you find a good health glitch that you like.


    This ought to get you started in Morrowind Elder Scrolls but listen into Video Games and Gaming Morrowind Online radio for more.

    Ogre Island Snowy Weather

    The weather reports across the globe have been pouring in with inches of snow accumulating rapily in many sectors. With the onslaught of snow among the nations, it seemed inevitable that this winter precipatation would somehow seep into our computers and along the Internet. The virtual worlds seem to be getting the blizzards as well and Ogre Island is no exception!

    While Woodly trudges through the snow to find a perfect Christmas tree, the forecast is calling for boughts of freezing rain, light snow, and … yes! … you guessed it Blizzard conditions. With the white out in effect (off and on) for the Island, the house contest continues. The contestants working feverishly to complete construction and decoration by the 27th of December. Stay tuned for the winner and enjoy the weather on Ogre Island. Woodly was so kind to pose for some great weather shots. Merry Christmas :)

    Morrowind from the Socucius House - Census Office

    If you are planning to be a theif in Morrowind, now is the time to start your career. There is even a lockpick on the table next to the candlestick to unlock the chest on the bottom of the bookshelf. Warning: Not every theivery will be this easy ... this is a gimmee, a big gimmee but worth over 400 gold.

    At this point, either continue on if you are enjoying your character, or start a new game to discover other classes, races and venues of play.

    Resting is an important action to take, especially when your fatigue bar changes from green to black. If you are entering an enemy area, rest before you start to engage. In town though, don't worry about your fatigue bar.

    Immediately when leaving the census office, find a wood elf named Fargoth and give him the ring from the barrel found earlier in the census office. This will get you better prices in the census office here at Seyda Neen (a squat town along the southern coast).

    Sell the booty acquired in the census office and purchase the best equipment you can afford, even if it is just one weapon. Spells are available but pricey in Seyda Neen.

    Speak with all NPC's (non player characters) as they may have tips on certain side quests.

    The main quest begins after you to talk to a main NPC in Balmora (south western estuary trade city. Be certain to Save at this point.

    Either play out as this character or change up and try it as a different one to get used to the game play at Morrowind.

    Choosing your birth sign is going to be important if you are choosing to be a theif or a mage, but it is self explanatory.

    Running increases your athletic skill.

    Jumping increases acrobatic skill. Caution: Don't jump too high as you can get hurt or possibly die :)

    Sneaking increases that skill.

    Fighting in your armor will increases that type of armor skill ( light, medium, or heavy).

    Using any type of spell will increase that type of spell proficiency.

    The hardest skills to level up are mercantile and speech craft. I suggest you visit a trainer located at various sites around Morrowind. Spend some money and remember that certain trainers can only level your skill up to a certain point. No trainer can level up a skill higher than its governing attribute.

    To find out which attribute governs which skill, highlight the skill that you want and press the info button.

    Books also level your skills up as you read them. Caution: Be careful not to hit the action (A) button twice because you will end up stealing the book instead of reading it and get in trouble :)

    Stealing is an option of play that is extremely difficult to pull off unless you are a thief and have the right spells.

    Be sure if you are going to attack someone in town that you allow them to attack you first. Just pull out your weapon, then they will attack, it is now not a crime against you :)

    After you go to Balmora, go and join the Mages Guild. This will give you a fast travel point to key towns :) You can also get the "Mark" and "recall" spells much easier this way, it will cut your travel time immensely.

    Silt Striders and boats are also fast travel for a fee.

    What a Christmas Season on the Major MMORPG sites like Ogre Island! We have "captured" the moment at OgreIsland.com, the moment of Christmas on the Island :)



    We thought we share the festivities with you all here on the blog Video Games and Gaming. Now, we haven't spotted Santa Claus yet, but you never know on Ogre Island!     Binxonia is one of the “starter towns” in Ogre Island where new players can get acclimated to the island easily. What a beautiful Christmas Tree and Snowman for the NPC (non player character) Seth to care for over the holidays :)

    Wavecritter took a trip over to Binxonia after an while. The snowmen have melted it seems but now we have an Ogre Island Steaker (not really :) He has his boxers on! So festive, I think he was in a hurry to view the scenery for Christmas at Ogre Island :)
