Join me with my specail guest, Judge Wanda G. Bryant, NC Court of Appeals. In 1983, Judge Bryant made history as the 1st female and 1st African American prosecutor in the 13th Prosecutorial District, serving the coastal counties of Bladen, Bruswick, and Columbus. She was appointed to the NC Court of Appeals in February 2001 by Governor Michael F. Easley. She was successfully elected in November 2004 and will be up for re-election in 2012. She leads the newly created Citizens Rights Division, working with citizens and communities to address significant issues such as: consumer protection, health care initiatives; child abuse; elder abuse; domestic violence and hate crimes to name a few. Judge Bryant is the recipient of various awards including the Outstanding Service in the Law Award.
