The Victory Lap features people sharing their health & fitness success stories. My aim as the host is simply to encourage you to pursue, enjoy and win the endeavor to live healthier. I work in wellness support and I know fitting wellness into your lifestyle is not so simple a task. Yet, it does not have to be a burden either. Join me as I present Victor Views... genuine insights of others who successfully achieve wellness and better health. Two Sundays each month at 4pm.

Yes, it is true! Ordinary people with complex lives are finding ways to have extraordinarily good fitness, health and wellness. They are cut from many different cloths. Some do self-help, some use fitness and wellness professionals. Some love the outdoors and some exercise indoors. Some eat all organic foods and some just maintain a steady, healthy diet of moderation. Some are overly stressed and some have little pressure. Some have lost weight and some never needed to. On The Victory Lap you will hear Victor Views! That is, I interview people who are successfully living a healthy lifestyle. You will even hear from some of the fitness trainers, dietitians, therapists and other wellness professionals and specialists who help others pursue successful exercise, nutrition, stress management, weight loss, pain reduction and more.     Find Out Why I Had To Have These Two Women On My Show....

    Join me , Leon "The Encourager" Bullard on Sunday, August 23, 2009 for the first broadcast of my wellness talk show, The Victory Lap.  My featured guests are Farnoosh Brock and April Young... two women who have created winning wellness. Read more about them now.


    Farnoosh Brock

    Farnoosh is a vivacious woman, adept worker and considerate wife on a quest to find balance in her wellness. If you have ever used a scale then you know that the interesting thing about finding balance is the process involves adding and subtracting different weights until you get it right. And that is exactly what she does.

     

    During her life, her eating patterns have been wide-ranging from nonchalantly eating out often with a busy work schedule and frequent travel itinerary to probingly choosing to eat a vegetarian diet. She has been active, too, with kickboxing classes, step aerobics, walking, yoga, weight training and Argentine tango dance. The more options she explored while working to find the right balance, the more she learned about what harms her and what helps her, what she dislikes and what she enjoys, and what not only brings her satisfaction but also thrills and invigorates her.

     

    The pursuit of wellness is never-ending and she is certainly not at the finish line. But she has a massive amount of wisdom from the time she has invested to develop herself. Join me on The Victory Lap, Sunday August 23 at 4pm to hear more about how she has overcome life’s issues one by one to create a beautifully balanced healthy lifestyle.


    April Young

    Ten years ago, April was a content woman. She was finishing graduate school and starting her career. She actively exercised regularly by doing biking, strength training, aerobics classes and competing in triathlons. She had even improved to her best weight and lowest body-fat after a 12-week body transformation competition. She felt like she could not have been more attractive or in any better shape. She even started part-time personal training to help others.

    Fast forward nine years. She began 2008 with the same goals she had set for 2007...and 2006: to eat less junk food, fast food and food overall, to eat healthier, to exercise more often and more consistently and to find balance between life and work. But the year progressed just as it did in the years prior. The combination of investing longer hours at work, struggling with personal issues and not breaking out of her wellness comfort zone kept her shackled for most of the year.

    By the end of the summer, she was the heaviest she had ever been and she was finally fed up. Six months later she completely turned her weight and her wellness around! Join me on The Victory Lap, Sunday, August 23 at 4pm to hear how she created a new lifestyle and a better than ever body plus how this transformation will be different than the one a decade ago.
