Show Notes

Yes, it is true! Ordinary people with complex lives are finding ways to have extraordinarily good fitness, health and wellness. They are cut from many different cloths. Some do self-help, some use fitness and wellness professionals. Some love the outdoors and some exercise indoors. Some eat all organic foods and some just maintain a steady, healthy diet of moderation. Some are overly stressed and some have little pressure. Some have lost weight and some never needed to. On The Victory Lap you will hear Victor Views! That is, I interview people who are successfully living a healthy lifestyle. You will even hear from some of the fitness trainers, dietitians, therapists and other wellness professionals and specialists who help others pursue successful exercise, nutrition, stress management, weight loss, pain reduction and more. Tune in two Sundays each month and be encouraged to live well. Hosted by Leon "The Encourager" Bullard

Michelle Moore joins Leon the Encourager on The Victory Lap

I'm Leon "The Encourager" Bullard, host of the BlogTalkRadio talk show The Victory Lap where everyday people share their stories of how they pursue wellness everyday or help others to achieve the pursuit. My guest for this episode is Michelle Moore. Read more about her now.

What is the key to maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle year after year? Michelle Moore can tell you. Fifteen years ago she innocently began a fitness quest that now is the pillar of her excellent health and has certainly transformed her life. By choosing to make her wellness a priority day after day and year after year, she has steadily created a remarkable journey of growth through many stages of life.

The one thing people complain about most is the lack of time because they are too busy. Michelle, too, has had reason to be too busy. She was a student, then a working single woman, then a working married woman, then a married, stay at home parent, then a stay at home parent of two, and now a married, parent of two, part-time fitness instructor. And through each stage, she has not known what it is to be too busy to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Yes, it is a challenge to maintain sufficient effort to keep yourself fit and healthy for life. Is it a challenge worth embracing? Join me on the Victory Lap Show on BlogTalkRadio, to hear Michelle share what propels her to keep going, how she does it with such consistency and why she never would have thought this story would be hers.

The Victory Lap. Everyday People Pursuing Wellness Everyday

For this episode, Leon "The Encourager" Bullard interviews Christy Kroustalis.
Christy was a typical high school graduate. She ate what her parents cooked, played activities but not organized sports and worked to perform well in school.
During her first year as a university student, she traded it all: mom's cooking for fast food, playing activities for partying activities and studying lessons for skipping class. She gained her Freshman 15 pounds and more during that four year stretch.
Hear her share the journey of how she matured, restored balance and created a healthy lifestyle before graduating into adulthood.

Christy Kroustalis shares her story with Leon the Encourager on The Victory Lap

Join me, Leon "The Encourager" Bullard on Sunday, September 27, 2009 for the Internet broadcast of my wellness talk show, The Victory Lap. My featured guest is Christy Kroustalis. Read more about her now.

Recently, many young adults began new chapters in their lives as college students. And in colleges across the nation, people whisper about the Freshman 15. Even as college dining continues to add fresher choices, students continue to have equal access to fast foods. And while many campuses are now more walkable than ever, students find plenty other ways to reduce activity. So, many average weight young people start a path toward overweight or obesity as adults during that four or five year stint.

Not too long ago Christy Kroustalis was among the new students in a new university to gain about fifteen pounds in her first year followed by more pounds in subsequent years. The Freshman 15 turned into the Undergraduate 45… and it hardly even bothered her until her wake-up call.

Now, she has successfully transitioned from graduate student to career woman and she has transformed her body into a leaner, stronger and healthier build minus the 45 pounds she gained years ago. Do you want to know how Christy battled back or even how to skip the scenario altogether? Join me on the Victory Lap Show on BlogTalkRadio, Sunday September 27 at 4:00pm to hear Christy reflect on how her attitudes, relationships and habits contributed to the rise and fall of her weight.

Everyday there are people in this country investigating how to improve their health, hoping to relieve chronic pain or trying to trim weight… and everyday many of these people are unsuccessful and asking worthwhile questions such as:

“Could it be what I am eating?” The nutrients in food have value and many benefits. But many foods contain ingredients that may be causing you to have certain ailments. So, it is possible that the change you seek to improve your health may be found in changing how you eat.

“Could it be how I treat my pain?” Medications often mask pain and other prominent health practices attempt to help you externally. But the source of many ailments is internal. If the treatment you need is related to your nervous system then Neural Depolarization therapy is possibly more effective at relieving the internal blockage producing the pain.

“Could it be the way I am trying to lose weight?” Diet foods and other weight control methods are popular options chosen to support weight loss goals. But such options can actually be causing the opposite effect while also working against your health. Maybe a simple, yet comprehensive and individual approach is what you need to achieve better results.

If you are searching for these kinds of answers then you simply must meet Holistic Health Practitioner Carole Hoffman. She works with individuals who are experiencing many forms of pain and illness and she has a passion for teaching people why they are becoming sick and how they can help themselves get well. Since she believes that no person should have to live in pain or be overtaken by disease she will be on The Victory Lap on Sunday, September 13 at 4:00pm to help you understand, too.
