NFC EAST HASN'T HAD A BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPION IN OVER A DECADE Led by two rookies in 2016, the Dallas Cowboys surprised many by having a 13-3 season and will be attempting to become the first team since the Philadelphia Eagles from 2001-2004 to win the division in consecutive years. Oddsmakers have the Cowboys penciled in as the favorite to win the NFC East again with odds of +115, but the often volatile division offers some intriguing betting options when you consider its tradition of parity over the years. Their record last season clearly indicates that they're the class of the division, but Dallas was simply average in divisional games. All three of their losses last season came at the hands of divisional opponents — twice to Giants and once to Eagles. The Cowboys' offense will look very similar to last year, but their secondary has undergone a major overhaul with Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and J.J. Wilcox all suiting up for new teams in 2017. That might not necessarily be a bad thing, however, as Dallas allowed the sixth-most passing yards in 2016 and they were one of just six teams to not have 10 or more interceptions.
