Hi Everyone Today's topic will be about my special guest Victoria Gaither's Career. Victoria is a native Washingtonian. She is a TV news anchor/reporter and a mutlimedia program host. She started her broadcasting career as an intern for Ted Koppel. She landed her first full-time job as a writer/producer in Baltimore at WMAR TV. Victoria moved from behind to infront of the camera working as a reporter and anchor in the Midwest at WAND news and at WMDT news on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. They say the TV business is a small one and she returned to Baltimore as an on air personality. Victoria say's “I have always loved people, talking, gathering information and storytelling” so it was natural for me to go into television journalism says Victoria. It was at WMDT news that she produced and hosted ‘Good Things Delmarva’ a public affairs show that she really looked forward to taping every two weeks. “Aside from my regular duties as evening news anchor, hosting this show was great because it was all good news. So it was a break from the regular crime, politics and murder stories that aired on the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.‘Good Things Delmarva’ gave me the idea to do a show with positive news. So as my career continued I always had20this in the back of my mind. Last year, I decided to act on it and I created ‘At Home with Victoria’ a show that focuses on women’s issues, the work of non profit organizations and community stories.” Victoria has her own radio show http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Victoria-Gaither Victoria will be taking your questions. The first person that calls into the show will get a grapevine wreath that is decorated. I hope you will join us for this fun and interesting show.
