Fernando Varela's voice is untrained, he never starred in an opera, has a rough timbre and tone and definitely shows no professional, opera-quality, voice training in lacking smoothness. Please do not bask in The Maestro's glory! It is an insult to his fans and true lovers of he opera and a well trained tenor like Pavarotti! And just as an fyi, Andrea's heritage is very Latin indeed!
