Domestic Violence (The 'Abuse Is Useless' Campaign)

"It could never happen to me, girl! I wish a man would put his hands on me! That would be the last thing he put his hands on!" Here I will give the top 5 things to do if ever you find yourself in a domestic violence situation. 5.) Take a tip from Tyler Perry's character, Madea, grab the biggest pot u can find and fill with water, bring to a boil, add 3 cups of grits and salt,(optional), stir until creamy and delicious looking as soon as the abuser walks in for his breakfast grab your pot and dump it on his head. Bon appetit! 4.) Slowly but surely just start talking to yourself and answering questions no one asked to throw the abuser off. example,"I TOLD U I WASN'T BY MYSELF! HE'S STANDING RIGHT BESIDE ME! OK, FINE, ILL ASK HIM! (turn to the abuser) She wants to know where u keep the gun?" he'll think you're crazy and would fear for his life. 3.) Calmly and casually bring up your former husband, you know, the one whose body was never recovered? he'll get the picture. 2.) Wake the abuser up in the wee hours of the morning with a pair of cold scissors close to his beloved privates and let him know if he values his family jewels he won't hit you anymore! Finally, 1.) Get help! The truth of the matter is no one really knows how they would react in a domestic dispute. Domestic violence ranges from name calling and put downs to physical harm and sexual assault even withholding money or keeping a partner from contacting family and friends. No woman, man, or child should have to deal with an abuser there is help out there. Talk to a family member, go to the police, call the domestic violence hotline (1-800-799-SAFE) Help is available 24 hours a day. So please for the sake of yourself and anyone else involved take that first step reach out and I promise there is someone out there just dying to help you.
