Welcome to the New Season - New Episode of the Up2Me Magazine Show with Host Gabby G and Special Guest Staff Sergeant Timothy Payne of Chosen Leadership. Tune in for a special conversation as they talk about "Chosen Leadership Part I The Experience"

Meet Staff Sergeant Timothy Payne:   Staff Sergeant Timothy Payne grew up in Buffalo New York and graduated high school August 2001. After the attacks on 9/11 he joined the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. After 7 years he deployed twice to Iraq and became an expert infantryman. Before his third deployment, he prayed for the first time and asked God to save his men in exchange for his life. The same day the Taliban attacked the Company Outpost and SSG Payne killed an attacking insurgent. The next day after all patrols were halted one last patrol was called for to clear out trees where he killed that terrorist. Soon as he went out there he was attacked and blown up losing both legs.Three years later he fought through medication addiction and being suicidal. President Barrack Obama invited him to The White House on three occasions. Also while rehabilitating Sergeant Payne chose adaptive sports to aid in his recovery and just as he began Prince Harry of England came to Bethesda Naval Hospital and visited the Wounded Warriors. After retiring Staff Sergeant Payne self-published two books detailing the process of recovery.
