    Chapter 1 -"Positioned For Purpose"

    1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.


    Psalm 133 KJV

    Understanding the principal of this scripture passage is of the utmost importance for both the Christian and the Christian leader because it illustrates to us the relationship between order and anointing!


    If you take a look at the definition of the word "unity" in it's original language you will find out this word means "properly" or in other words, the oil "the anointing" flows from the head down when we all dwell together properly and in order.

    Contrary to the opinion of many Christians this word unity doesn't indicate us sitting around hugging and all doing the same thing, it is indicative of us all being in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things, with the RIGHT people!

    So if we desire to be "positioned for purpose" with the anointing flowing on our lives and ministries, we have to be certain that we are dwelling properly and in order among the congregation.

    This principle is illustrated to us again in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 where the Apostle Paul begins to explain that we who are "in Christ: are as one "body" , yet we are different "members". He follows this statement up with brining clarity the importance all "members" understanding their proper function in the body so that the there may be no "schism" which means "split, gap or division in the Body which then won't function properly, and as we have already learned, it is only when we function properly that God is pours out His "ointment", which means His anointing, on us, and he starts from the head going all the way down the skirt, thus covering the whole body.

    Then, after explaining that we are a body and members in particular, and even being sure to express that though some members may be smaller or have a function that isn't considered "honorable" that all "members" are still imperative to the body being whole and functioning properly.

    To close out and further clarify his teaching on the "Body of Christ" He now clearly defines the "first" parts of the body that determine the course of the rest.


    27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

    1 Corinthians 12:27-30 KJV


    To review, we are one body with many members, many important and necessary parts. However, there is an "order to the Body" that must be recognized in order to fulfill it's function as a whole, and this order starts with "first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers".
     
    So the order and function of the body of Christ starts with the apostles first, followed closely behind by the prophets, who together are liken to the head and neck that are responsible for the determination of the movement and activities of the rest of the body. Then the teachers are like the shoulders that the head and neck are supported by.

    And nature itself bears witness though all the parts of the human body are of great importance and necessity there are some that will cause greater danger if they are not functioning properly and in alignment with "the head".

    For an example you will find out that if a "blood clot" or blockage of some sort blocks the blood flow from the head to the body it will cause a "stroke" which causes everything from blurred vision, to dizziness, confusion, and even numbness in other body parts, and even paralysis. And in the same way, when we allow spiritual, emotional, and intellectual, "blood clots" to block the flow from the "head" we too will find ourselves in a stake of spiritual blurred vision, dizziness, confusion, and even spiritual numbness and paralysis!

     
    If you are not convinced yet, of this principal of "proper order" is illustrated again in the following scripture where the Apostle Paul taught the Church at Ephesus the same principal through the following metaphor;

    19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

    Ephesians 2:19-22 KJV


    Not only are we liken to a body, we are also liking to a building that with the proper foundation of Jesus Christ as the cornerstone and Apostles and Prophets the building is "fitly framed" and able to grow into a Holy temple.
     
    So, needless to say, if our building doesn't have the proper foundation and proper framing, it can not, and will not grow properly.

    The following scripture further solidifies the necessity of not only the foundation and frame but the process of building and dangers of building without the proper foundation;

    9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

    1 Corinthians 3:9-18 KJV
     
    Again, nature itself bears witness to this truth. If we build our natural house with the wrong, or a weak foundation, we are immanent danger of the very walls of our house coming crashing down at it's first test of the elements. Even the three little pigs, well at least one of them, got a hold of that principle
     
    By weaving all of these scriptures together, it is without question that "proper order" is the pre-requisite for "pouring oil" and considering the magnitude of importance it carries for the Christian Believer, it is inarguable that it carries even greater weight for the Christian Leader. (James 3:1)

    In conclusion, man or woman of God, it is of absolute necessity that you make sure you submit yourselves to God's word and His ways and be sure that you yourself are in position for purpose by being in proper order by being properly submitted and committed to an "Apostolic Authority" and "Prophetic Counsel" so you can be properly activated, confirmed, trained, developed, and finally released into your purpose in ministry with the flow of "oil" continually being released over you and your ministry.

    If this terminology seems a little foreign to you, you are not alone. God has mandated an "apostolic reformation" in the earth and is drawing His people back to the original plan for the New Testament Church and work of ministry to prepare for and usher in the return our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Corinthians 12:27-29)
     
    This is not a new design for ministry but a clarion call of God to return back to the original design, the "divine design" for the New Testament Church and a MUST for those whom God has called to the frontlines of ministry in this last hour.

    From the heart I want encourage you today, get aligned with the divine design so you can be positioned for purpose!
