Kelly Newsome owns Higher Ground Yoga, a boutique wellness practice for busy women. Through 
Higher Ground, she advises both individuals and organizations on how a better body and mindset 
means more productive, purposeful living, and she specializes in private, in-home yoga, healthy eating, 
pregnancy and birth. Before supporting the well-being of others, Kelly was a business attorney, in both 
private practice and public service. She currently lives in, and loves, Washington, DC, where she works 
and writes “LoveNotes,” a weekly newsletter with tips on how to take super self-care, available at 
highergroundyoga.com.
