J-Doe a.k.a Where You Get Those Shoes From

J-doe born and raised in Los Angeles ca is a rapper/producer/song writer/musician that has been blessed to learn all of these very different aspects of the music industry and be able to do them well. James "J-doe" Smith has been making music since the early age of 9 years old when he began playing drums for his local church. J-doe began playing other instruments in high school such as the piano and bass guitar. He met his first musical mentor (Ricc Rude)when he was 16 and began making beats as a under study to Ricc.

He quickly learned the art of production and began making a name for himself around the city. Soon after J-doe began producing his first artist and releasing mix-tapes as a producer. J-doe now has beats on everything from video games to hip hop albums to TV shows and he's only begun.

J-doe was only a producer for 2 years b4 his peers encouraged him to begin to start taking his rap more seriously and do both at that point he began recording songs, doing mix-tapes and shows all over the state of California. J-doe has a amazing presence on the stage he has went from doing shows all over California to doing shows all over the USA he has been featured in the river fest in Arkansas, he opened up for Nappy Roots, Amerie, and many other artist.

Most recently J-doe along with his writing team BWB placed a single with Danity Kane the first single "Damaged" . J-doe has also went on to place songs or beats on Day 26, Western Union (Snoop Dogg's new group) and TV shows such as Hell Date,Who's Got Jokes and Kiesha Coles "The Way It Is". J-doe's musical inspiration comes from a vast amounts of artist including Busta Rhymes, Twista, India Arie, Beyonce, Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Jay-Z, Pastor Troy, Lil Wayne, DJ Quik and Kirk Franklin. Though he has been inspired by all of those artist his music sounds like none of them J-doe brings something new to the game that it has been missing which is the balance between substance and commercial hip hop that is marketable to the masses.

J-doe is definitely what the game needs and its only a matter of time b4 he fills the void in not only the hip hop industry but the music industry as a whole.
