Coffee Clouds of Confusion (An SP Joint)
I’m not a coffee drinker per se but
I had a dream…there were clouds in my coffee
And the clouds were so dark and gloomy that it became crystal clear
That my eyes drew closer to this mystery
And behold I seen through the mirage and camouflage of deception
Weaved into the fabric of established ideas to trick you and me
And I took a trip into Hades habitation
American madness and political corruption rising up like cream but
And the creator tells me not to be ignorant to the devices
That the enemy employs to attack the character and essence of me
So as I wake up and smell the coffee
And the crap that you’re trying to feed me
I’m not fretting what you say with this romantic and political rhetoric
For in due season you will wither away as that barren fig tree
Having been crucified on the cross of this thing called trust
But I’ve been reborn again, resuscitated by Christ in love
A visionary on a mission to proclaim the good news
And secure a deed to a piece of land up above
And in closing
As I prepare for a new day of trials and temptations
I consider the dream of clouds in my coffee
And I pray to God for protection and a deeper revelation
