As the Principal Transportation Planner for the City of Berkeley, Calfornia, Matt Nichols is on the cutting edge of the latest trends in urban transit. Among the projects he's working on are a demand-responsive parking pricing pilot program; the first electric bikeshare program; and a major BART transit stations reconstruction. He is also working on strong transportation requirements in Berkeley's new Downtown Area Plan, as well as on the Ed Roberts Campus, a universally accessible transit-oriented development facility housing numerous services for disabled people.
We'll be discussing all this and taking questions on the future of urban transportion in Berkeley and beyond.
