    Self-Esteem vs. the Gospel

After almost a month off, Gospel Gifts and Grace is returning to discuss self-esteem and the gospel. Some think it is an enemy of the Gospel of Christ; what do you think? Some view Jesus' command in Matthew 22:39, "...You shall love your neighbor as yourself," like this: Until we fully love ourselves, we cannot love our neighbor, therefore it is imperative that we love ourselves first so that we can obey this command. Some would view the opposite of self-esteem as hating yourself, beating yourself up. Is that the case?

We will be broadcasting live tomorrow at approximately 3pm EST but we don't yet have a definite time, and we apologize for that. You can always catch it later on the podcast.
