He's started and sold five companies, recorded and released three CDs, written and produced a musical in Manhattan (to rave reviews in the Voice), and worked as a busboy at Chi-Chi's. In the past few years Cheney has added "motivational speaker" and "music industry icon" to his resume, and is now a sought-after speaker for music conferences and universities (SXSW, CMJ, DFest, FullSail, MPMF, DeweyBeachFest, BCCC, BMI New York, MidAtlantic MMC, EAT'M, and NEMO among others to date). He's a veritable one-stop-shop for performing, entertaining, story-telling, songwriting, barbeque ribs, lawn care, and drinking Rolling Rock beer (yes, you can buy him one, thanks for asking).
