Overcoming the temptation to forget your first love

Many Christians fall in love with the Lord Jesus and start off with a bang, only to lose a passion for the Lord, and eventually grow cold. In the book of Revelation, the Lord rebukes the church at Ephesus, and calls them to repent because they had left their first love. They had put their works before their relationship with Him. He encourages them to overcome this temptation, and promises those who do overcome access to the tree of life in the paradise of God.
