In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells His disciples that He must suffer many things, die, and be raised to life on the third day. His disciple Peter answered Him and said " no Lord, this shall not happen to You".
Jesus knew that it was the devil speaking through Peter. Are we allowing the devil to speak through others, to tell us that we are not to suffer or go through any hardship as christians, thus tempting us to be out of the will of God? Are we valuing our life here on earth more than the eternal life promised to us by Jesus Christ?
