Call in to speak with the host
The beginning. Visiting the Pet Expo in Phoenix last year, I was looking around and getting a feel for what these Pet Expo's were all about. I turned around and saw the banner at the back of the booth: Lost Our Home Pet Foundation. Being curious, I introduced myself and began asking questions. The thought of pets being left in foreclosed and empty homes had never occurred to me, and here was a group well established in the nuances of dealing with this and associated problems. My chance meeting with Jody and her "crew" completely altered my trip, and really became the basis for this program.
This weeks blogs...
So, how was your last airline flight? Security? Legroom? Well starting in March, United is making changes to how we travel with our pets. Lots of media on this. So, here is an article to help summarize: More Pet Airline Drama. Next up is a book review about an unexpected life with a dog who speaks a foreign language: Book Review: Stay. How many rescue dogs end up chasing bad guys for a living? Shelter Dogs Turned Crime Fighters with NY Police tells the story of Wheeler. And time for a little childish humor: Identifying Who Passed Gas. I'll bet you have experienced this if you've ever been around dogs... And lastly, a heartfelt goodby to Davy Jones who passed away yesterday. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I will miss you.
It's good to talk.
