Pets, our animal companions. Michele C. Hollow, my guest this week has spent most of her life surrounded by and in support of our animal companions. From childhood, she has been a great example of a giving spirit. She's written the Everything Guide to Working with Animals which highlight the amazing people working in their dream "jobs" with animals and gives some incite to those looking to make working with animals their future. She also manages to tell a few jokes like... "What kind of cat loves to bowl?" well an Alley Cat of course! Besides animals, she also wrote "Grateful Dead: What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been" a book written for 5th Graders so they can have some compassion for their parents... Sounds like it will be a fun interview!
This weeks blogs...
Ok, something besides Kimmy getting a divorce... something positive, Sami Stoner, is the first high school athlete in Ohio to compete with a guide dog. Check out this amazing story; Guide Dog Runs in Track Meets. Barking Dog? You may soon have to pay the man... According to the Los Angeles Times, the L.A. City Council voted unanimously to tweak the city's dog barking law with a new ordinance that would impose fines for excessive dog barking; L. A. to Impose Fines for Excessive Dog Barking.
---- About Behind the Curtain: In the "Wizard of OZ" there was a man behind the curtain who showed people that they already had everything they needed and desired... We've created a program where our guests include those hero's and champions who dedicate themselves to make a difference with people and our animal companions. Most of these organizations are well known and make amazing differences in their communities, but the people behind the curtain, those that spend countless hours, often don't seek the spotlight and we want to share their stories and passion with you.
