Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton--the two landmark SCOTUS cases that have established legal abortion for almost 40 years--are they even legitimate precedent in this country? A little discussed fact about these two court cases is that both were established on false premises. Should the concept of stare decisis be applied to keep abortion legal? Today, we ask attorney Allan Parker from The Justice Foundation for his analysis of these court decisions.
From The Justice Foundation: Mr. Parker serves as the lead legal counsel for Norma McCorvey, who was “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade, and Sandra Cano, who was “Mary Doe” of Doe v. Bolton, in the legal effort to overturn their landmark Supreme Court rulings that brought legalized abortion on demand in America. He is currently co-host of the television program, Faces of Abortion. He is a frequent speaker on Roe v. Wade and the harm caused to women by abortion.
We will also have a panel discussion with leading voices in the pro-life movement: Kay Painter from Remembering S.A.R.A. International Myra Jean Myers from Operation Outcry Molly White from Women for Life, International Nona Ellington from Eagles Restoration Ministry Connie Eller from Missouri Blacks for Life
To this list we may also add Sandra Cano as well as a special guest on the show.
