SUSANNAH WOODRUFF from DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE, Defenders of Wildlife is a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to the protection of all native animals and plants in their natural communities.
Susannah Woodruff works on the ground with communities in Wyoming and the Northern Rockies in an attempt to foster coexistence and increase tolerance for wolves.
Before joining Defenders in 2011, Susannah worked for 7 years in Wyoming for the US Fish and Wildlife Service Wolf Recovery Program on wolf recovery and management. During this time, she radio collared more than 70 wolves and handled everything from grizzly bears to bobcats to porcupines.
Susannah grew up in the mountains of Franconia, New Hampshire and graduated with a master’s degree in wildlife biology from Prescott College in Arizona and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine.
Her Areas of expertise are wolf management and conservation //and wildlife biology.
