Comedian, author, and playwright, Steve Bluestein, who has been sober for over 30 years, joins us to talk about his early years, his life growing up, his career and his new book; It’s So Hard to Type with a Gun in My Mouth. He’ll share some excerpts from the book and a bunch of very funny personal anecdotes. When Steve walked into the Comedy Store in 1972, he knew his life would change forever. Steve had no idea how much it would change or what direction it would take. He just knew his life was about to be different. He’d no longer be the assistant buyer at The May Company, Steve would be a somebody. And he was right. Because of Steve’s career as a standup comedian, TV writer and playwright, he had traveled the world and worked with some of the biggest names in show business. Steve has fond memories and some he'd like to forget. Steve’s personal life has always been a mesh of bad relationships, lost souls and natural disasters, yet he seemed to have come to the surface like the flotsam of a shipwreck. He is a survivor, as they say and he will share the experiences that have shaped his life to date.
