Call in to speak with the host
Laurie J. McNeil; theartistry.com knew from a early age that she was destined to be an artist. Beginning with grade school art projects, and continued through artistic expression and innovation in gymnastics, if there was a call for artistic flair, Laurie excelled because she loved “the artistry” of it all. Coming from a family of artists, Laurie attributes much of her artistic awareness to her mother, also an accomplished artist and designer, raising Laurie to believe she could accomplish anything, if she really wanted to. Laurie’s search for accomplishment has taken her through two marriages, a son and two daughters, and a few different careers, including Retail Loss Prevention Detective & Investigator, Stained Glass Artist & Designer, Master Wildfowl Sculptor & Instructor, Published Author, Private Investigator, Custom PC Designer, Website & Graphics Designer, and Domain Name Investor & Retail Sales. All of these experiences have intertwined to afford Laurie a multitude of resources which can be used in the promotion of wildfowl sculpture as a fine art, to the art circles of the world. Laurie also supports the introduction of wildfowl carving to new carvers through her tutorial articles, speaking engagements, and hands-on workshops at her home studios and by traveling abroad. With a focus on the youth, Laurie hopes to pass on the art form of Wildfowl Sculpture in Wood to the world, for the generations to come.
It's good to talk.
