Young people are turning away from the church. The biggest exodus is among young people who grew up in the church. Many of them say "I don't do church". Could this unfortunate circumstance be the result of our blind adherence to the traditions of men that have absolutely nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus. Could it be because the younger generation is better educated then prior generations? Could it be because They are versed in critical thinking techniques and scientific method? Is it because they have been taught to question everything that they are told and will believe only after careful examination?  Yet we expect them to not question the Bible or the teachings of the church. Seriously?  What are we afraid of? Is it that they will not believe as we did or that they will find the unsettling truth that much of what is being taught in name of Jesus (that we believe) has nothing to do with what Jesus taught?
