In the analogy I used with the 12 year old and 30 year old, I did state that they mutually loved each other. It may be a distorted view of Love, but so is homosexual Love. As far as the article. I am the first to admit when a movie is bad. I am a former film critic. If you scan the archives of my blog you will see that I discussed the issues with Fire Proof from a critical viewpoint. The issue with the article was not that it stated the acting and story was poor. The issue was that it was ca

Marcus: I took issue with 2 items on your show tonight. 1) You grossly misrepresented the article about Fireproof on www.youthhacks.com. The quote is the conclusion of the article, "Fireproof is an excellent example of the kind of Christian art that I don’t like: christian propaganda wrapped in a mediocre shell." The main point of the entire article is that Fireproof at best was mediocre. I would say it was just bad. Part of your ministry (according to your website) is movies.

Yes the message is important, but if the movie is bad then the filmmaker has failed. 2) You used the example of a 12 year old and a 30 year old and robbing a bank. Those examples clearly show an aggressor and victim in each. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you theology, but you are comparing apples to oranges. Jay was talking about 2 consenting adults in the youthhacks podcast.

I am a friend of Josh and Jay, and have seen everything unfold on Twitter. I see where you are coming from because that is where I was when I was your age. Time, marriage, children and life experience have tempered me. I look at things differently. Not that my theology has changed that much, but when you are married and have children you catch a glimpse of the Father's love for His Son, and the love that Christ has for His bride. I hope and pray that God will continue to use you to lead others
